Welcome to 9jaconnects (“App”), operated by Afilia8 9ja Connect Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the App. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Age: You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
1.2 Location: The App is intended for use by Nigerians living in Nigeria and abroad, including the UK, Canada, USA, Europe, and Australia. If you are accessing the App from outside these regions, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with local laws.
2. Use of the App
2.1 Account Registration: To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
2.2 User Conduct: You agree to use the App in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will not:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that violates these Terms.
- Transmit or upload any material that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on any third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems or networks.
2.3 Privacy: Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Content and Intellectual Property
3.1 User Content: You retain ownership of any content you upload or submit to the App (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such User Content on the App.
3.2 Intellectual Property: The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Afilia8 9ja Connect Limited and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the App without our express consent.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
4.1 Use at Your Own Risk: The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
4.2 No Guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or information provided through the App, including profiles of other users.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 Exclusion of Damages: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the App.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Afilia8 9ja Connect Limited, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the App; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
